Children's programs: We have a few fun events planned for school vacation week! Check out our children's What's Happening page for details on snow activities, Legos, and a movie afternoon. We've also begun signups for the spring session of storytime. See our storytime page for more information.

Upcoming art programs: On Thursday, February 23rd, from 6:00-8:00pm, local artist Carol White will be leading a workshop on how to draw optical illusions. The following week, on Thursday, March 1st, from 6:00-7:45, artist Lully Schwartz will lead a presentation on the use of color in oil paintings throughout history. Sign-up is required for both programs. Stop by the circulation desk or call us at 978-887-1528 to register.

Drawing Optical Illusions

Local artist Carol White will be teaching this workshop, in which each participant will create a matted piece of artwork. (See an example of Carol's optical illusion artwork on the program flyer!) The Color of Art

Join renowned artist Lully Schwartz for a presentation on the use of color in oil paintings throughout history. Discover how and why artists from Claude Monet to Andy Warhol changed the way we look at, live with, and paint color. Through Lully’s demonstration, learn how to mix oil paints, how to set up a painters’ palette, and more. This lecture is limited to 20 adults, and sign-up is required.
