The circulation desk is located on the first floor of the Library and is the main hub of the Library where returns and checkouts are processed. Our collection has grown from a single case of books dating from 1794 (come visit the original 1794 bookcase in our periodical room) to over 64,000 items. At the circulation desk you can:
Our loan period allows patrons to check out books and audiobooks for 3 weeks, and videos, DVDs, and magazines for 1 week. You may check out up to 10 DVDs or videos, and 15 CDs or audio books at one time, and there is no limit on books.
Overdrive offers downloadable audiobooks and ebooks that you can access from home with the use of your library card barcode number. Once you’ve downloaded a book, you may listen to or read it on your computer, mp3 player, or e-reader. Many audio books can also be burned to CD. The guided tour on the Overdrive website is the best place to start for more information.
Novelist is a unique website accessible to library patrons through our subscription with Ebsco Publishing. It provides comprehensive information about new and old fiction titles. You can also find author read-alikes, book discussion guides, and recommended reading titles based on genre and age group.
